Workshop

Join author and illustrator Alan O’Rourke for a fun-filled comics workshop designed especially for children!

In this hands-on session, young artists will learn the art of storytelling through three-panel comics. They’ll explore how to illustrate their favourite jokes, turning punchlines into visual delights.

From character design and panel layout to timing, kids will unleash their creativity while honing their drawing and writing skills. Let’s bring laughter to life on the page together!

For fans of Dog Man and Bunny vs Monkey.

Requirements: Bring your favourite joke or pick one on the day and we will turn it into a comic.

Suitable for children aged 7 – 10 years.

Free event. Places are limited; booking is required.

Please note: This is a public event and a photographer will be present for many of the activities on June 7th. Attendees will be asked to register for each event and grant consent for photographs to be taken. If you would prefer not to have you or your child’s photograph taken, please make the photographer aware of this.
