Bray Library Afterschool Comic Club 2026

Workshop

A weekly inclusive after school programme for children aged 9-12 years in the Bray area. The aim of the project is to build self-esteem and encourage self-expression through creativity and anti-perfectionism. The group meet weekly during school term. Sessions are led by an artist and a librarian. With an emphasis on play, the group are guided by the artist facilitator, through the process of comic-making and, in sessions with the librarian, discuss graphic novels, and play drawing games.

The programme will be completed over 24 sessions. Each month, there will be two sessions led by an outside facilitator artist and two sessions overseen by library staff for the group to work on their projects independently.
