Be Well, Be Creative programme 2026

  • Workshop

Be Well Be Creative at Offaly Libraries is a celebration of  cultural and creative activities for adults. This new initiative runs throughout the months of January, February and March across Tullamore, Birr and Edenderry libraries.

Offaly Libraries has developed a diverse programme of workshops and activities providing adults with an opportunity to be more creative, to encourage meaningful participation and to celebrate how our creative potential can improve into adulthood.

This programme will see acrylic art workshops, songs of springtime, mindfulness and calm, and music sessions through sound healing, sing circles, and Djembe classes throughout January to March 2026.

Tullamore, Edenderry & Birr Libraries will see Pauline McNeils host a fun and creative acrylic painting workshop where individuals will design artwork on charming mini canvases. This offers a relaxed space to explore colour and expression.

Leona Mc Donnell will present Seeds of Self, a cultivating and creative calm mindfulness workshop to support wellbeing. This will invite participants to pause, breathe and reconnect with their inner world through breathwork, guided meditation and mindful reflection.

Folk musician Ruairi O’ Shea will lead a gathering for participants to sing, relax and absorb the folk music of Ireland and elsewhere. This will be a moment of human connection, away from the screens, together in community through song. Music Generation will host a djembe drum circle in Tullamore Library.
