Múr Alive: Youth Mural For Biodiversity

  • Workshop

Moore Youth Club currently has 40 active members. The club is affiliated with Youth Work Ireland Midlands. They are partnering with local artist Clare Daly Madden to create a large-scale biodiversity mural at the community playground beside Moore Community Hall.

The mural, titled Múr Alive, takes its name from “Múr,” the Irish-language name for Moore, the parish where the
project will take place, reinforcing the local identity and cultural connection of the artwork. The mural will highlight native Irish flora and fauna and incorporate Irish words drawn from local folklore and the rural community. It will creatively explore biodiversity, sustainability, and climate awareness, connecting Ireland’s natural and cultural heritage in a visually engaging and accessible way for young people and the wider community.
