On Saturday 6 June 2026, The Ark becomes a bustling city‑centre hub of free artistic adventures for children of all ages. Explore the magical new My Father’s Dragon exhibition from Cartoon Saloon, enjoy relaxed morning sessions, and dive into hands‑on illustration, collage and animation workshops. Little ones can discover a brand‑new interactive early‑years play space created with families from the North Inner City, while music lovers can sing along at our family‑friendly concerts in the theatre.

From babies to budding young artists, there’s something for everyone — drop in, get creative and celebrate a joyful day of imagination at The Ark.
