Voices of Monksland Youth Café

Voices of Monksland Youth Café project is a dynamic storytelling initiative with Monksland Roscommon Youth Service 2 youth cafe in celebration of Cruinniú na nÓg on the 6th June. The young people engaged in a structured series of storytelling and visual arts workshops facilitated in collaboration with a professional artist, who guided them through creative concept design, character development, narrative structure, and visual interpretation. Through a combination of collaborative group brainstorming sessions and individual creative work, young people have developed original concepts and storylines, learning how to translate their ideas into compelling written and illustrated pieces. The workshops emphasise imagination, confidence-building, and artistic skill development. Each participant’s story will be professionally displayed and illustrated, celebrating youth voice, creativity, and community engagement.

This event is for the general public to view the story telling pieces created by the young people aged 13-17 years from the youth café in Monksland with Roscommon Youth Service 2.
