8-10 year old’s are taking over Clonmel and will create a new design for the town – we’re expecting big ideas!! Dream | Design | Draw invites young people to step into the world of architecture and reimagine the future of Clonmel!
Guided by artist and designer Selene Murphy and supported by Clonmel Junction Arts Festival, this vibrant project puts youth creativity at its core. Participants will explore the town’s built environment, discover what inspires them, and use their ideas to shape imaginative proposals that reflect their experiences, aspirations, and needs.
This exciting creative journey unfolds across three engaging parts:
Part 1 — Creative Workshops (May)
A youth group will collaborate over several weeks, experimenting, sketching, dreaming and designing. Their work will form the foundation of an inspiring exhibition launching on 6th June.
Part 2 — Public Exhibition & Workshop (6th June)
Join us at The Platform, Showgrounds Shopping Centre, for a dynamic exhibition showcasing the young people’s visions for Clonmel. Visitors can also take part in an interactive workshop—perfect for anyone curious about design, creativity, or the future of our town.
Part 3 — Self‑Guided Architectural Scavenger Hunt
Explore Clonmel in a whole new way with a fun, self-paced architectural scavenger hunt and additional learning resources. Ideal for families, young creatives and anyone who loves discovering hidden details in their townscape
