Ecoweb Filmmaking

  • Screening

Young creators in Midleton are taking over the director’s chair to tackle the planet’s biggest questions. The Ecoweb filmmaking workshops invite young people from CDYS Midleton, to explore the power of visual storytelling through the lens of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Participants will dive into a hands-on film school experience. From mastering camera work and sound to scripting and storyboarding, students will work as a crew to produce the short ‘Ecoweb’ documentary.
This isn’t just about learning technical skills; it’s about having a voice. Participants will explore how our local choices ripple across the ‘Ecoweb’, while investigating constructive, community-focused solutions for a more sustainable future.
The project culminates in a special highlight for Cruinniú na nÓg, Ireland’s national day of free creativity for children and young people. On Saturday, June 6th, 2026, the community is invited to a premiere screening of this youth-led film. Come see how Midleton’s next generation is filming the change they want to see in the world!
