Nature & Light: Cyanotype Printmaking for Kids

  • Workshop

Nature & Light: Cyanotype Printmaking for Kids is a hands-on, child-centered creative workshop introducing young people to cyanotype printmaking, an early photographic process that uses UV light to create vivid blue images. The project encourages curiosity, experimentation, and confidence in making, while connecting children with nature and the science of light.

Each participant will create 1–2 cyanotype prints and a personalised bookmark to take home.

Workshop Structure

Session 1: Ages 7-10. 10:30am – 11:30am

A gentle, playful introduction to cyanotype, focusing on exploration, discovery, and simple composition.

Session 2: Ages 11-14. 12:00pm – 13:00pm

A more detailed, design-focused session allowing older participants to experiment with layout, layering, and creative decision-making.
