Inclusive Ceramics Programme | Down Syndrome Leitrim

Workshop

Down Syndrome Leitrim is delighted to take part in this inclusive ceramics programme in collaboration with Leitrim School of Art. Delivered across a series of relaxed, family‑friendly workshops, participants will explore clay using hand‑building techniques, moulds, stencils and colourful glazes.

Working with clay supports the development of fine motor skills, hand strength and coordination, while offering an engaging sensory experience. Ceramics also builds confidence, creativity and self‑expression as participants design and complete their own unique artworks.

This programme provides valuable opportunities to connect, share experiences and create lasting memories in a welcoming and supportive environment. The group setting encourages friendship, inclusion and a strong sense of belonging.

The ceramics created during the programme will be proudly showcased to the public on June 6th, celebrating the creativity and achievements of participants as part of Cruinniú na nÓg.

This is a closed event open to members of DSI Leitrim.
