Workshop

SpeakUp Sessions is a creative rap and lyric writing workshop for young people aged 10–16. Led by Music Generation Kerry in collaboration with KCYS with plans to include a visiting musician from Kabin Studios as a creative highlight. Whether you’re into rap, spoken word, or just curious to try something this is your chance to express yourself, build confidence, and connect with others through music. Come along, get creative, and find your voice, no experience needed just bring your voice while participants will explore beat making, rhyme, storytelling and collaborative music-making in a safe, supportive space. will conclude with a gentle, youth‑guided sharing moment in early June. This may include lyric displays, photographs documenting the creative process, short audio snippets or small‑group sharing, shaped around what feels comfortable and meaningful for the young people involved.
