All About That Vase – Soft Slab Vase-Making with Sarah McKenna

Join celebrated ceramic artist Sarah McKenna for a fun and creative Soft Slab Vase Workshop at Bridge Street Studios, specially designed for Cruinniú na nÓg!

In this hands-on session, children aged 9 to 12 will learn how to create their very own decorative clay vase using the soft slab technique. Guided by Sarah, participants will roll, shape, and assemble pieces of clay into beautiful and functional vases, then decorate them with stamps, textures, and their own unique flair.

This is a brilliant opportunity for young makers to explore the joy of working with clay, learn real pottery techniques, and bring home a one-of-a-kind piece of art.
