Animation Workshop at Leitrim School of Art

This full-day Animation Workshop is specially designed for children and young people aged 10–16 years who are curious about storytelling, film, and creative making.

Participants will be introduced to the exciting world of 3D stop‑motion animation, learning how still images are brought to life on screen. Beginning with a simple explanation of animation principles, participants will develop their ideas using a range of materials, build their own scenes and characters before animating them using stop‑motion techniques ending with a completed short film to take home.

All materials are provided. Participants should bring a packed a lunch. Films can be transferred onto a USB drive please bring one if possible. No previous experience is needed, just imagination and enthusiasm.
