Bean Together: From Seed to Space – The Clonoulty Kids’ Big Build

  • Workshop

Earlier in 2026, pupils from 3rd to 6th class at Clonoulty National School worked as part of Bean Together: A Crop for the Future, an ongoing Arts Council Children and Young People’s Arts Project Award to explore their village through mapping, model-making, drawing and printmaking. They imagined new possibilities for shared community spaces and co-designed a new pop-up place for their community as part of the project.

On Cruinniú na nÓg 2026, children will launch this special structure with a day of making and celebration in Clonoulty village. The event is open to children, families and the wider community. Everyone is invited to help build, decorate and bring the new pop-up place to life.

As part of a fun day of activities children and families are invited to take part in creative workshops. They will print fabric panels, design soft walls, arrange the interior and create colourful signs for the structure. From 4pm to 6pm, get creative. Join fun, hands-on workshops making printed fabrics, colourful walls and signs to bring the space to life.
