Come and enjoy the wonderful music made in response to Brigid 1500, elevated through the voices of children and young people from around the County, singing in chorus.

Brigid Sings is a collaborative project that has commissioned five female singer-songwriters from County Kildare to compose new songs celebrating the life and legacy of St. Brigid. Each song explores a different aspect of Brigid’s story, bringing her achievements and influence vividly to life through music. With themes rooted in both Brigid’s legacy and the heritage of County Kildare, the project actively engages children and young people from across the county through workshops in schools.

Sing Ireland leads the project management, working in partnership with Music Generation Kildare on artistic development and local coordination. Brigid Sings is a collaboration between Kildare County Council, Music Generation Kildare, and Sing Ireland, with participation from schools across all five of Kildare’s Municipal Districts.
