Children’s Crochet Workshop (Ages 6-12)

Celebrate 2025’s Cruinniú na nÓg by joining us in Kildare Town Library for this introduction to crochet for children ages 6-12: a free class for beginners that teaches you how to crochet a granny square. By learning a few simple stitches, you can create your own textile masterpieces!  It’s fun, creative and colourful!

This workshop is facilitated by Sarah Higgins. Sarah is a local Kildare artist, and has had a lifelong interest in the textile arts and in particular embroidery, crochet, and knitting. Her art is influenced by nature and literature, and she will be entering her final year in NCAD as a mature student this September. Her work can be found on Instagram @higginssart
