Comic Chameleon – A Collaborative Comic Book Workshop Experience in Partnership with Meath County Council

  • Workshop

Meath and Louth County Councils are delighted to collaborate again on this year’s Cruinniú na nÓg programme to deliver a range of projects and events for the East Meath and Drogheda borough area.

Students from Scoil an Spioraid Naoimh, Laytown and Aston Village Educate Together, Drogheda will take part in a week of creative fun with comic book artist Mariana Rolin. Working with the schools separately, Mariana will support the students with their creative writing process, learning how to develop it in comic book format and creating their comic strip artwork. When the week is complete, all work will be brought together to create a complete comic book. This comic book will be professionally printed and launched on June 7th as part of our Cruinniú na nÓg programme. Details to follow.

This collaborative initiative is in response to the Drogheda Report and Implementation Plan.

A number of children who participated in the project look forward to launching the book in Drogheda Library at 3pm on the 7th of June.
