Cruinniú na nÓg 2025: Storytelling Magic at Dromahair Library

Join us at Dromahair Library for Cruinniú na nÓg 2025, a special day dedicated to celebrating the creativity and imagination of young people!

At 12:30pm, children aged 8 to 12 are invited to gather ‘round for a magical hour of storytelling with the wonderful Chris Thompson. In this engaging session, Chris will guide young listeners through the mysteries of Irish myths and legends, bringing ancient tales to life with warmth, humour and vivid imagination.

From heroic warriors to mythical creatures and enchanted landscapes, these timeless stories will inspire curiosity and spark the creative spirit in every child. This is a chance for young audiences to connect with Ireland’s rich oral tradition and experience the joy of stories passed down through generations.

Whether you’re a lover of folklore or simply love a good tale, this session promises to be a highlight of the day!

Free event – no booking required. Come early to grab a cosy seat and settle in for an hour of wonder and adventure.
