Experience dlr harbour like never before through a series of immersive kayaking workshops as Gaeilge. Across three age-specific sessions, participants will explore themes of biodiversity, heritage, and climate action through hands-on outdoor adventure.
Each workshop begins with fun icebreakers before participants take ownership of their session’s theme, shaping their own objectives for the day. They will then head out on the water by kayak or paddleboard to explore the harbour environment up close. From uncovering marine life beneath the surface, to imagining coastal folklore, to examining real-world climate challenges, each session transforms learning into a lived, memorable experience.
Delivered primarily through Irish (with bilingual support where needed), these workshops aim to normalise the language as a vibrant, living part of everyday life. Moontour fosters an inclusive and welcoming environment for all young people, encouraging confidence, curiosity, and connection—to language, culture, and the natural world.
Workshop Schedule:
• Ages 10 – 12: 9:00am – 11:50am
• Ages 13 – 15: 12:15pm – 3:15pm
• Ages 16 – 18: 3:45pm – 6:45pm
Each session is limited to 16 participants.
