By inviting Drumadore to host an inclusive drumming workshop, the project provides a meaningful, high-quality creative experience that is open, accessible, and engaging for people of all ages and abilities. Drumadore’s participatory approach removes traditional barriers to engagement by using shared instruments, simple structures, and collaborative rhythms. The workshop is suitable for children, young people, adults, and older members of the community, as well as those who may not typically engage with arts activities. Hosting the workshop as part of a free, outdoor community event ensures that financial, social, and physical barriers are minimised. Through hands-on music-making, young participants develop listening skills, self-expression, cooperation, and confidence. Taking part in a professional-led workshop within their own community helps young people see creativity as relevant, valued, and achievable, reinforcing long-term engagement with the arts.
