Dry Point Printmaking in Millstreet

  • Workshop

Cork County Council is excited to announce a free art workshop for children aged 9 to 12 years, at Millstreet Library.

This event offers a unique opportunity for young artists to explore Drypoint, a printmaking technique where images are incised into a metal plate or acetate, using a hard-pointed needle. The resulting scratches hold ink, allowing participants to create prints on paper, using a printing press. This workshop was inspired by a suggestion from a 6th-class pupil at Knocknagree National School through the My Creative Wish initiative.

To ensure a meaningful experience, spaces are limited.

Please contact Millstreet Library at MillstreetLibrary@corkcoco.ie for more information and to reserve a spot.

This initiative aligns with Cork County Council’s commitment to fostering creativity and providing accessible cultural experiences for young people across the region.
