On Saturday 7th June, 2025, Levis Corner House a West Cork music venue , in partnership with The Duncairn Arts Centre (Belfast) , invites young musicians, spoken word artists and poets (aged 14–16) from West Cork to join Spoke ‘n’ Folk — a day of creativity, workshops, and performance In Levis Corner House, Ballydehob to celebrate Creative Ireland’s National ‘Cruinniu nOg.

The West Cork event features songwriting and mentorship sessions, an open session, and a live public gig with participants. Held simultaneously with a partner event in Belfast, it celebrates cross-border collaboration and emerging talent. These events in separate counties will build the foundation for a coming together of all the participants from North and South at each venue under the Creative Ireland Shared Island Initiative.
Booking Required for workshop participant (Open Call closes June 5th) limited numbers.
Running Order:
- 11am–1pm: Songwriting Workshop (Participants only)
- 2pm–3pm: Mentorship Sessions (Participants only)
- 4pm–6pm: Open Music Circle (All ages welcome)
- 6pm–7:30pm: Live Gig (All ages audience welcome)
Booking Info: Open call for participants opens 9 May and closes 5th June 2025. Audience attendance does not require booking but space is limited.
