Hi my name is Ness O’Leary and I am 16 years old.
I am a teenager living in Salthill/Knocknacarra, Galway. Some of my hobbies and interests include history, acting, and cooking and baking. I really enjoy comics and superhero media, specifically Daredevil and Batman. I also love legos, I have several large sets and I am currently saving up for another.
My earliest creative memory was being in The Sound of Music at 6 years old. I remember standing in my hall, posing as my mam took a photo of me in a yellow pinafore, playing one of the Von Trapp children. I was on stage singing Do Re Mi, (probably off key) with a group of friends. I also distinctly remember falling over during a turn in the dance. Acting is my favourite creative activity, I’ve been acting with the theater group Trading Faces since I was 6 and every year we do a musical in the town hall. I originally joined because a few of my school friends did it and since then it’s been my favourite creative outlet and hopefully will become a career for me.
When I am being creative, I feel passionate, I think that’s the only way to describe it. When I’m acting, singing, writing, painting, drawing or crafting, I am passionate. I love my hobbies and interests and what I’m creating, and I couldn’t go without them!
