‘Garden to Gallery-Couture Athlone Arts and Tourism Cruinniú na nÓg Programme of Events 2025

‘Garden to Gallery-Couture’ Programme of Events will take place throughout the summer and will be delivered in three parts:

Garden to Creation
On Saturday 10th, 17th and 24th of May, under the guidance of local artists, Niamh Butler and Aoife Doolan, participating children will create costumes inspired by the Historical Garden at Athlone Castle. Workshops will take place in Abbey Road Studios. 

Garden to Runway 
Join us on June 7th, Cruinniú na nÓg, where children who participated in the Garden to Creation workshops will showcase their creations in a fashion show, ‘Garden To Runway’, in the courtyard of Athlone Castle. 

Garden to Gallery  
Finally, from August 2nd, Luan Gallery will host a captivating photography exhibition in the Boardwalk Gallery. The exhibition will showcase photography of the stunning Garden to Gallery creations captured by photographer, Chris Burke, during a photoshoot in the Castle garden, and the fashion show in the Castle.

Please note that, due to the nature of this project, it will be required to sign a photo consent form. Photos taken, as part of this project, will be shared by Athlone Arts and Tourism, Creative Ireland and might be shared with other external organisations.

Participation is free, however workshops must be booked via our website.
