Join us at Butler Gallery this Cruinniú na nÓg on Saturday 6th June, for a public storytelling project led by Trickster: GATHER to Welcome The Guardian.
Created in collaboration with children from St. John’s National School and imagined by Trickster, this special project brings to life the Resident Guardian of this place: a spirit shaped by local voices, imagination, and memory.
Experience a live promenade performance in the gallery grounds from 2-3pm, explore an exhibition of children’s artwork from 12-4pm, and take part in drop-in workshops throughout the day. Meet the Guardian, hear its story told for the very first time, and add your own creative mark to this living piece of local folklore.
A joyful, immersive event for all ages as part of Cruinniú na nÓg at Butler Gallery.
Public can observe or join in as we go – come and be a part of our performance!
- Children’s Exhibition: See work created by the children of St John’s Junior School through story and character development in the lead-up to our live interactive performance.
On view from 12 – 4pm in the Learning Centre.
- Drop in workshops in our Learning Centre – throughout the day – create your own mark in response to the work on display.
