Join us for a one-day inclusive creative workshop for children as part of Cruinniú na nÓg, taking place at Straide National School, Co. Mayo. This event is open to the general public and is especially welcoming to children with additional needs.
Children aged 4–12 years will enjoy a range of fun, hands-on creative activities including painting, mixed media art, sensory play and gentle movement. The workshop encourages imagination, self-expression and creativity in a relaxed, supportive and sensory-friendly environment. Participants will also work together to create a collaborative artwork, celebrating creativity and teamwork.
To ensure the event is fully inclusive and accessible, Special Needs Assistants (SNAs) will be present to provide support where needed. Irish Sign Language (ISL) interpreters will be available, and qualified paramedics will be on site throughout the event to support the safety and wellbeing of all attendees.
All materials are provided, and the workshop will be led by experienced educators and creative practitioners with expertise in inclusive practice. Held in the familiar and accessible setting of Straide National School, this event offers a welcoming creative experience for children and families from Straide and surrounding communities as part of the national Cruinniú na nÓg celebration.
