Inner Space Machine
A Pop-Up Inflatable Experience

Step into another world with the Inner Space Machine, landing in Manorhamilton on the afternoon of Cruinniú na nÓg from 3pm onwards!

Created by socially-engaged sculptor Rob Ireson, this playful, mobile inflatable sculpture invites people of all ages to pause, reflect and explore a unique space outside of the ordinary.  Inspired by the torus – the theorised shape of the Universe – this walk-in inflatable installation offers a gentle, imaginative escape from the everyday.

Growing out of a specially-designed trailer and pulled by bicycle, the Inner Space Machine transforms public space in surprising and delightful ways. One moment it’s there, the next it’s gone – leaving you wondering: what changed? Was it a dream? Or simply a moment of magic?

This immersive sculpture offers a quiet, creative space for children and families to reflect, imagine and enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience, right in the heart of Manorhamilton.
