Intro to Puppetry with PlayActing Youth Theatre

Join PlayActing Youth Theatre for a dynamic and hands-on Puppetry Workshop & Showcase this Cruinniú na nÓg! 

Taking place in the function hall in The Mill, Community Centre, this free event invites young people aged 13–17 to dive into the magical world of puppetry, exploring different styles, including hand, object, and marionette puppetry. 

Facilitated by experienced puppeteer Josephine Dennehy (Youth Theatre Ireland, Festival of Youth Theatres 2024), participants will take part in two workshops, with all materials provided and no prior experience required.  Participants will then create and perform their own puppetry pieces in a public showcase on June 7th, as part of the Cruinniú na nÓg celebrations. 

Whether you’re curious about performance, love storytelling, or just want to try something new, this is the perfect opportunity to get creative in a fun, supportive space.
