The “Laugh-Out-Loud” comedy workshop is a fun, interactive event, where kids and teens (aged 9-18) will explore the world of humour, performance, and self-expression. The event will include improv games, stand-up comedy basics, and sketch-writing, all designed to encourage creativity, confidence and collaboration. Participants will get hands-on experience in crafting jokes, acting out hilarious scenes and performing in front of their peers.
The activities are structured to engage different age groups:
- Junior Comedy Crew (Ages 9-12): 11.30am to 2.30pm: Fun story-telling, improvisation games, and character play, to spark young imaginations.
- Teen Comedy Club (Ages 13-18): 3.30pm-6.30pm: Stand-up techniques, comedic timing and collaborative sketch writing.
The event will culminate in a Showcase Performance from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM, where participants will have the chance to present their work to an audience of friends and family, making it a memorable and rewarding experience.
What makes this event special is its focus on participation and creativity – every young person will have the opportunity to develop their unique comedic style and bring their ideas to life. Through laughter and play, participants will gain confidence, improve communication skills and have a fantastic time!
