Make your own Fairy Forts and paper Golden Sun Crown

June is the month of the Summer Solstice (Grianstad an tSamhraidh). In Irish
folklore, the goddess Áine (Queen of the Fairies and Goddess of Summer) is associated
with the sun, fertility, and protection of the crops during this exact time.

– Workshop: “Make your own Fairy Forts and paper Golden Sun Crown”
– Activity: Building miniature “Fairy Houses” using natural Irish materials
(moss, twigs, stones) and a paper Golden Sun Crown to wear
– Main theme: Goddess Áine & The Fairy Folk, Tales of the Aos Sí (the fairy
folk) who were believed to be most active as the sun reached its peak.
– Focus: Folklore, nature-craft, and storytelling.
– Age Group: 5 to 8 years old
– Theme: Midsummer & The Goddess Áine
– Duration: 60 Minutes
