Making Your Mark: Exploring Creativity Through Printmaking at Longford Library

Workshop 1 (10.30 – 12:00) Suitable for age: 6+

LEGO Block Printing is a fun and tactile printmaking technique where participants use LEGO blocks to build their design onto a baseplate and create unique prints by inking them up and transferring the design onto paper. Artist Sophie Carroll-Hunt will guide participants aged 6+ through the creative process, allowing them to explore shapes, patterns, and colour. This hands-on workshop is perfect for a variety of skill levels and uses reusable LEGO blocks and eco-friendly materials, promoting sustainable creativity while encouraging experimentation with design and texture.

Workshop 2 (12:00 – 13:00) Suitable for age: 4+

Monoprinting is a fun and engaging printmaking technique where you create one-of-a-kind prints by layering and transferring ink onto paper. Artist Sophie Carroll-Hunt will guide participants aged 4+ through the printmaking process to create their own unique artwork. Perfect for a variety of skill levels, this hands-on creative workshop uses reusable tools and eco-friendly materials, promoting sustainable creativity and encouraging experimentation with texture, colour, and pattern.
