Stone Age Axe-Making with the Irish School of Archaeology – Kiltyclogher Library

Celebrate Cruinniú na nÓg at Kiltyclogher Library with an exciting hands-on workshop led by the Irish School of Archaeology.

From 2:00pm to 2:45pm, children are invited to step back in time and explore life in the Stone Age, through a fun and educational Axe-Making Workshop. Participants will learn how early humans crafted tools and the important role these axes played in daily life.

Using safe, child-friendly materials, each participant will create their own replica Stone Age axe to take home. Along the way, they’ll gain fascinating insights into ancient technology, survival skills and archaeology in action.

This free workshop is perfect for young history enthusiasts and curious minds — no previous experience needed. Come along and discover how people in the past shaped their world… literally!
