Stop-Motion Animation for Ages 12–16
Bring your ideas to life in this hands-on stop-motion animation workshop for teens aged 12–16! Join us on Saturday, 7th June 2025, from 10:30am to 3:30pm for a fun-filled day of creativity and learning.
We’ll start with an introduction to how animation works, followed by a discussion about climate change—its causes and impact on the world. Then, it’s your turn to create! Using storyboarding techniques, you’ll plan your own animated story, designing characters, settings and emotions. Afterwards, you’ll dive into making your own short 3D-animated movie focused on the environment.
With guidance from expert tutors, you’ll add music, sound effects and credits, to give your film that professional touch. No prior animation experience is needed—just bring your imagination and passion for storytelling!
At the end of the day, your animation will be converted to a video file, which you can take home on a USB drive. If possible, please bring your own USB pen drive.
All materials are provided. Participants are encouraged to bring a packed lunch.
