A series of original short plays for children aged 5+, inspired by the rich world of Irish folklore.
Created by young people for young audiences, the project brings together performers and theatre makers from Nenagh Youth Theatre. The tales are written and performed by our youth members ( aged 12–18 ) with support from Cruinniú na nÓg.
Using sensory storytelling, the performances will offer an engaging and welcoming experience for all children. Interactive elements including visual, auditory, and tactile features, will allow kids to engage with the stories at their own pace. There will be puppetry, shadow puppetry and song used to tell these beautiful local stories.
The stories will be interactive, accessible and free to attend!
Our members are working with experienced theatre professionals to build skills in sound, lighting, and design — giving them real hands-on experience. Performances will take place on Cruinniú na nÓg Day and are open to the whole community.
The event is free to attend but spaces are limited so booking is essential
Suitable for ages 5+
Please note: Photos and videos will be captured during the event to showcase all the fun!
