This Is Art! Exhibition
Amuigh 24 will also be showcasing a mini art exhibition from This is Art! entrants in Baile Na hAbhann in Co. Galway, on the 15th June which will give you a flavour of the talented young artists in Ireland.
Competition: This Is Art! 2024
Get ready for another amazing year of creativity with Creative Ireland and RTÉ’s exciting art competition for young people – This Is Art! This all-island competition which promotes artistic practice among young people, aged 18 and under, and encourages and supports creativity, will be back this Autumn.
We are thrilled to announce that the theme for this year’s competition will be revealed during Cruinniú na nÓg on June 15th. Although you won’t be able to submit your entries until our website is ready in the autumn, you’ll be able to register your interest for more information by logging onto www.rte.ie/thisisart. (this will go live on 15th June 2024).
You have all summer to ‘Dare to Create’ and bring your artistic creations to life.
This Is Art! accepts submissions in a wide range of art forms, including paintings, drawings, sculptures, photography and digital art. You can submit as an individual or in groups. The submissions are judged by a panel of experts, and winners receive prizes and have their work exhibited.
There will be at least 5 categories:
● Age 7 and under
● Age 8 – 11
● Age 12 – 15
● Age 16 – 18
● Group category

When our website is up and running, all you’ll have to do to enter is:
CREATE a piece of original visual art.
SNAP or Scan a digital version of it.
UPLOAD your entry along with a short artist statement to rte.ie/thisisart.

This Is Art Club! 3 will be back on your screens this Autumn and is on a mission to inspire young audiences with another action-packed eight-part series featuring exciting art and young artists from all across the land.
