Video Killed the Radio Star: Teenager Video Workshop with artist Asha Murray

  • Workshop

If you are enjoying a stimulating creative life and want to get closer to the lives and work of young artist professionals, then this workshop is for you.

Recently-graduated artist, Asha Murray, whose textile work The Plastic Shopping Bag has just been acquired to the Collection at Highlanes Gallery, presents the second of two workshops, reflecting one of two material strands of her work, in this one making video art.

With all materials supplied, you just need to bring yourself and the things that may interest you – drawing, painting, music, digital art, character-making, film-making, and then work with Asha to create your own video artwork.

In this immersive workshop, you can work solo but connect through a shared interest in visual art and creativity.

Please note, this session is followed by another session that may interest you also – where Asha explores filmmaking using the tufted works that you have just made.

Pack a snack for the break!

Teenagers and parents, this workshop is free, so that there are no financial barriers to access. If you book and find in the days leading up to or morning of the workshop that you cannot attend, we would ask you to email info@highlanes.ie so that we can release your place.
