Viking Bead-Making with the Irish School of Archaeology – Kiltyclogher Library

As part of this year’s Cruinniú na nÓg celebrations, the Irish School of Archaeology will be hosting a special Viking Bead-Making Workshop at Kiltyclogher Library.

Join us from 12:00pm to 1:15pm for a hands-on creative session, where children will discover the ancient craft of Viking bead-making. Participants will learn about Viking culture, the materials used and the significance of beads in everyday life and trade.

Children will have the chance to create their own colourful beads, inspired by Viking designs, combining history and creativity in a fun and relaxed environment.  It’s a great way to explore the past through making!

This event is free and open to all young people. No experience necessary – just come ready to get creative and learn something new!
