We Built This Club – A Threads of Home Showcase

  • Workshop

Join us for a creative and heartwarming event as part of the Threads of Home exhibition at this year’s Criunniú na nÓg. This child-led initiative, presented by the Ballybane ACE Club, celebrates what “home” means to our young participants.

Throughout the afternoon, the children will take the lead in guiding visitors through three exciting activities:

  • Vox Pop Interviews: Children will engage with the public, asking them what “home” means to them, and sharing their own thoughts and experiences.
  • Exhibition of Ballybane Kids’ Homes: The children will showcase their creative representations of their homes, explaining the stories behind their designs.
  • Creative Workshop: Kids will have the chance to build their own dream homes using a variety of materials. Everyone is encouraged to get creative and make something that represents their idea of “home.”

This event is an opportunity for children, families, and the community to come together, celebrate creativity, and explore the concept of home through the eyes of the next generation. We look forward to seeing you there!
