Game Development Retro-Style with Games Developer and Engineer Darren Kearney.

Explore the basics of game development with a delightful set of retro-style creative tools. In this workshop, participants will endeavour to create a retro-style 2D arcade game from scratch, covering topics such as game artwork, animation, sound effects, music, and programming. The workshop emphasizes the process over the outcome, encouraging a playful and curious approach to failure to facilitate optimal learning outcomes.

Time: 3:00 pm – 5:30 pm. Age group: 12-18.

In partnership with Imirt – the representative body of game developers and creators from all disciplines throughout Ireland.
