Book Doctor – Mayfair Library

Join Us at the Mayfair Library for our Children’s Books Ireland Book Clinic!

Parents, guardians, and children are warmly invited to drop by for an informal consultation with one of our friendly Book Doctors. Our experts are ready to provide the best reading advice for young readers.

Throughout the year, Children’s Books Ireland brings the Book Clinic to various locations across the country, partnering with libraries, festivals, and venues to reach as many families as possible.

What to Expect:

  • Personalized Consultations: Each child receives one-on-one attention, ensuring the experience is tailored to their unique interests and needs.
  • Duration: Consultations last 10-15 minutes, with each Clinic running for 4 hours.
  • Inclusive Support: We welcome all families and strive to support children with diverse needs, including dyslexia, ADHD, autism, vision impairment, and sight loss.
  • Book Prescriptions: Every child leaves with a personalised list of book recommendations to take to their local library or bookshop.

Who Can Attend:

  • Suitable for children aged 0-18 years.
