Cruinniú na nÓg 2025: Wonders of the Woodland at Dromahair Library

Celebrate the magic of nature and creativity at Dromahair Library for Cruinniú na nÓg 2025 with a special event for young explorers!

Join Fiona Wheeldon for Wonders of the Woodland, a fun and educational woodland tour running from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Aimed at children aged 4 to 11, this gentle outdoor adventure will introduce participants to the beauty of local plants and flowers through guided discovery, storytelling and hands-on learning.

As they wander through the woodland, children will learn how to spot different species, observe patterns in nature, and hear fascinating facts about the plants that grow around us. The experience encourages curiosity, connection with the environment, and appreciation for the natural world — all while supporting creativity and imagination.

Perfect for nature lovers, young adventurers, and budding botanists, this free event offers a meaningful and memorable way to celebrate the wonders of the world around us.

Free event – children must be accompanied by an adult. Dress for the weather and bring your sense of wonder!
