The Children of Wolves

  • Performance

A new performance work, created by Hugh W. Brown and devised, in collaboration with an ensemble cast of young people from Carlow Regional Youth Services.

In the aftermath of a tech apocalypse, a group of young survivors cling to a fragile existence on the ragged edge of a ruined Ireland. Misinformation, relentless noise and digital chaos have imploded. Civilisation has crumbled into myth, leaving behind fractured lands and scattered survivors.

At the edge of this new wilderness, the group must navigate a world stripped bare. No governments. No networks. No lifelines. Only their instincts—and each other.
But survival is not their only challenge. As supplies dwindle and unease grows,
something—or someone—lurks in the shadows around their fragile camp. Are wolves truly stalking them, as the elders fear? Or is a far more dangerous force closing in?

The Children of Wolves is a newly-devised performance work that explores fear, resilience and the power of unity in a world where the noise has fallen silent—and the next threat might not be what it seems.

Created by Artist Hugh W. Brown, in collaboration with an ensemble cast of young people from Carlow Regional Youth Services Tullow Road and Bagenalstown.
