Build a Book Buddy

Design a new friend inspired by your favourite book or story.

Join us in celebrating the new library’s opening with a fun, drop-in art workshop for children. Using cardboard and recycled materials, kids can create their very own story creature — a brand-new buddy inspired by a beloved book or dreamed up from their imagination. These book buddies will become part of the library’s imaginative world, where stories live, grow, and come to life. Suitable for early years to primary-aged children.

This is part of DLR’s Cruinniú na nÓg i mBaile Uí Ógáin a mini-festival event that celebrates the opening of our new library in Ballyogan. As well as Build a Book Buddy, the event also includes live performances, drop in workshops and storytime. For more information go to our full event page.
