Longford Microsoft DreamSpace Showcase

  • Exhibition

Now in its fourth year, the Longford Microsoft DreamSpace Showcase has become a leading STEAM learning initiative, growing from a pilot with 29% of primary schools to a countywide programme reaching 92%. This expansion reflects its proven impact and the strong enthusiasm for high-quality STEM learning enriched through creativity.

The Showcase continues to deepen engagement, broaden participation and strengthen partnerships across the education community. Schools report that it energises learners, builds digital skills and sparks interest in technology, creativity and problem solving. Central to this success is the Creative Ireland programme, which ensures creativity remains at the core—empowering students to think imaginatively, collaborate and express ideas through innovative STEAM experiences.

Demand for further opportunities is increasing, with schools eager to expand digital learning and explore emerging technologies. Creative Ireland’s support has been vital in sustaining this momentum and embedding creative approaches. Supported by Longford County Council, the Government of Ireland and the EU Just Transition Fund, the Showcase continues to drive an inclusive, future-focused vision for STEAM education.
