Bringing Kavanagh to Life – Fashion Design Workshops

Carrickmacross Library are inviting young creators to dive into poetry and turn words into wearable art! Guided by the brilliant Jacinta Caraher of Purple Peach Design, participants will explore a selected poem and transform its imagery into a unique textile design using sustainable materials.

Across these fun, hands on workshops, children will sketch, experiment with colour and texture, and learn textile skills such as sewing, printmaking and appliqué. This six week programme will start on Wednesday, 8th April from 4:30pm to 5:30pm.

Finished designs will be proudly showcased on Cruinniú Day, Saturday, 6th June, as part of a special presentation!
