Programme of events

Hello, I’m Jasmine and I’m 17 years old. I’m the daughter of a Palestinian father and a Czech mother. I am the only one in my family to have been born in Ireland. From time to time it can cause sparks of loneliness within different aspects of my life. It’s during this time that I choose to engross myself into the cathartic and cerebral life of poetry. To me, poetry, my form of creativity, is the window to my soul. It allows me to express myself in a manner that does not fully expose me and yet offers an insight to my life. Poetry has followed me throughout my life. When I am being creative, I feel alive, I feel me.

My advice to other young people to encourage their creativity is that creativity knows no bounds, and it never should. So trust yourself, trust your hand and trust your mind.
