Celebrate Cruinniú na nOg with Drop-in sessions in Longford Library.

Get ready for a day of creativity, imagination, and fun at Cruinniú na nÓg 2026! Creative Ireland Longford is proudly unveiling an incredible, one-of-a-kind LEGO® sculpture of St. Mel’s Cathedral, brought to life by talented brick artist Jessica Farrell. Once lost to a devastating fire on Christmas Day 2009 and beautifully restored over five years, this iconic landmark now gets a playful new twist—rebuilt brick by brick in mini-figure scale! On June 6th, children and families are invited to jump into the action with an exciting drop-in workshop, where you can build a mini cathedral and be in with a chance to win fantastic LEGO®-themed prizes. Let your imagination run wild in the buzzing LEGO® Brick Pit, packed with endless building possibilities, and don’t miss the ultimate challenge: can you guess how many bricks it took to create the cathedral masterpiece? It’s a hands-on, high-energy celebration of creativity, history, and fun—definitely not to be missed!
