  • Performance

Cruinniú na nÓg on Tory Island will be a vibrant celebration of creativity, culture, and community, bringing together children, young people, and families for a full day of engaging activities.

The day begins with a guided walk across the island, offering participants the opportunity to explore local landmarks and enjoy the natural beauty of the coastal environment. This is followed by a series of hands-on art workshops running throughout the day, suitable for all age groups. Activities include painting, ceramics, copper craft, jewellery making, and basketmaking, led by experienced local artists, providing a chance to learn new skills in a fun and supportive setting.

As the day continues, the focus shifts to cultural activities, including a traditional music session celebrating the island’s strong heritage of music and oral tradition. The evening concludes with céilí dancing classes, encouraging participation, movement, and social interaction.

Overall, the event promotes creativity, well-being, and community spirit, while supporting the preservation of Irish language, culture, and traditions in an inclusive and enjoyable way. Organised by Comharchumann Thoraí Teo, the event showcases the rich cultural heritage of the island while encouraging participation and creativity among all age groups.
