Exploring Identity and Belonging Through Performance

  • Performance

Join the Loving Life Choir for a vibrant, soul-stirring celebration of what it means to find your place in the world. This youth-led performance, titled “Exploring Identity and Belonging,” is a creative collaboration of young people (ages 5–17) from diverse backgrounds across counties Louth and Meath.

Inspired by the emotional journey of the song “What Is This Feeling?” from the musical Wicked, the choir explores themes of first impressions, cultural heritage, and the transition of moving home. Through a mix of high-energy choral singing, expressive movement, and spoken-word reflections, the performers share their personal stories of navigating difference and building lasting friendships.

What to expect on the day:

  • Live Performance: A high-quality showcase of vocal talent and choreography led by professional coaches and youth MCs.
  • The Belonging Wall: Before the show, grab a marker and contribute to our interactive installation by sharing what “home” and “belonging” mean to you.
  • Audience Participation: Don’t just watch, join in! The choir will lead an interactive chorus, inviting everyone to find their voice.
  • Inclusive Space: A supervised, quiet breakout space will be available for a sensory-friendly experience.
  • Free entry for all!
