Fascinating Folklore

  • Workshop

A creative writing workshop that explores the fascinating world of folklore, customs, and traditions. In these one hour sessions, young participants will be introduced to a wide range of traditional stories and beliefs retold. Through guided writing exercises, they will then create their own imaginative folklore—developing original customs, cures, and tales inspired by what they’ve learned. The workshop is designed to be both creative and fun, giving participants the opportunity to share, read aloud, and perform their stories within the group. Along the way, participants will also discover the richness of folklore traditions from Ireland and around the world, gaining insight into the power of oral storytelling across different cultures. All that’s needed is curiosity, imagination, and a love of stories!
